Portrait<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an ethnographer, I am interested in music and aesthetic experience, but also in work and economic practices in general. My current research project examines the interrelationship between music and society with a focus on jazz and musical improvisation in Madagascar. Previously, I have worked on everyday life, work and ways of dealing with time in rural France, as well as on cultural education in Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am currently lecturer and researcher at ifeas. I studied Cultural Anthropology\/Cultural and Social Anthropology, Sociology and African Studies at the universities of Bayreuth and Leiden (Netherlands). In 2019, I obtained a doctoral degree at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universit\u00e4t Freiburg with a dissertation on everyday life, work and ways of dealing with time in rural France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
