His research focuses on African popular culture, media and religious anthropology, visual anthropology, film and video in Africa, race and disability studies. &lt;\\\/p&gt;\\n\\n\\n\\n&lt;p&gt;He is currently interested in practices of racialisation in Europe and Africa and is leading a research project on different forms of light-skinnedness in Nigeria and the Nigerian diaspora (as part of CRC 1482 &#039;Human Differentiation&#039;). With colleagues from Mainz and Frankfurt, he is investigating the significance of digitalisation for cultural production and cultural entrepreneurship in Nigeria and South Korea (CEDITRAA - Cultural Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation in Africa and Asia). With colleagues from the University of Trier and Maasai Mara University in Kenya, he is researching film deejaying in East Africa as a practice of intermedial translation. His research focuses on African popular culture, media and religious anthropology, visual anthropology, film and video in Africa, race and disability studies. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>He is currently interested in practices of racialisation in Europe and Africa and is leading a research project on different forms of light-skinnedness in Nigeria and the Nigerian diaspora (as part of CRC 1482 'Human Differentiation'). With colleagues from Mainz and Frankfurt, he is investigating the significance of digitalisation for cultural production and cultural entrepreneurship in Nigeria and South Korea (CEDITRAA - Cultural Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation in Africa and Asia). With colleagues from the University of Trier and Maasai Mara University in Kenya, he is researching film deejaying in East Africa as a practice of intermedial translation.
